How to store Talbeena and Barliva so every pack stays fresh

Our packs are sealed at the unit and carry a best-before date. Once a pack is opened, how you store it decides how fresh it tastes. Here is what we do at home.

Before opening

• Keep the pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Do not store it next to the stove or above the fridge, where it gets warm.
• Check the best-before date printed on the pack.

After opening

• Move the mix to a clean, dry, airtight container, or fold and clip the pack tightly.
• Always use a dry spoon. Moisture is what spoils a dry mix.
• Use it within the period stated on the pack after opening.
• Keep it away from strong-smelling foods; roasted barley picks up odours.

Signs a pack should not be used

If the mix smells stale or sour, has lumps that do not break, or shows any sign of moisture or insects, do not use it. Our packs are tested at NABL-accredited laboratories before they leave Malegaon, but storage at home matters just as much. If you ever receive a damaged pack, contact customer care with a photo and we will sort it out.
